In this season of giving thanks, the PTO is grateful for our Lake Bluff community!
Thank you to our parents/caregivers, students and staff. Thank you to families for actively participating in our events and fundraisers! The PTO is a completely volunteer run organization. We are so fortunate to have so many volunteers - too many to list here. We greatly appreciate everyone sharing their time, talents and treasures to run committees and volunteer for shifts.
We are so grateful for our hardworking, compassionate and dedicated Lake Bluff staff. Over 75 individuals work together to provide a safe, welcoming and positive school experience for our students.
The PTO expresses our gratitude a variety of ways through the year. One way is through the Annual Staff Gift Fund - each year families are asked to contribute $20 per student. 100% of the funds collected are used to provide a holiday gift to every single staff member. Funds are also used to provide a year-end classroom gift to each teacher. Contribute now here.
Reminder tonight, 11/21, is a busy night in the district. Elementary parents are invited to a discussion on Anxiety with our mental health provider, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Learn about strategies to help your student at 6pm in the Atwater Library. The District is also hosting a discussion on Building Equity in Math Classrooms with consultant, Dr. Kentaro Iwasaki. That is at the High School's Library Media Center at 6pm.
Composting began on 11/1. Thanks to the 5th and 6th grade ambassadors for educating all the students on how to compost! The PTO is happy to sponsor this program.
Please read the full newsletter letter for details on the Educational Grants and more news and events. Interested in a volunteer position? Family Movie Night is in need of a co-chair. Please get in touch with PTO President Tracy Yothsackda with any questions. Together, we are the Lake Buff community!
